About MietMiez

It’s a playful platform where students and pet owners can connect – not for forever, but for a little quality time. Whether you want to borrow a dog for a sunny afternoon walk, find someone to care for your turtle while you’re away, or simply meet a new furry friend nearby – MietMiez brings pets and people together. Users can browse listings of available animals, filter by location, personality, or pet type, and get in touch with local owners. Each listing includes cute photos, quirky traits (“Cuddly”, “Calm”, “Possibly edible”), and specific care instructions. Developed as part of a university course, MietMiez combines responsive design, secure user accounts, geo APIs, and a simple user experience to explore the idea of temporary pet sharing – responsibly, safely, and with a smile.
